Class Levels

Benefit from classes that offer an easy transition from inexperience to intermediary sessions as you discover endurance and become stronger and more flexible.

For students who are keen to pursue a more in depth approach to yoga we periodically offer intensive workshops. If desired, advice on home practice can be arranged. Also information on senior teachers’ local workshops is made available to students.

Beginners
This class suits students who have little or no yoga experience. Basic poses and ideas are introduced and the pace is easy, and the sessions are shorter, suitable for anyone. Students will receive a thorough introduction to yoga and begin to feel the benefits of what yoga can do for them.

This class is open to people with injuries or physical conditions that create restrictions in movement or capacity to perform certain actions, for example high blood pressure, arthritis, CFS, herniated disc, etc.

This class suits older people with less mobility and also for people who prefer to work very gently with their bodies. Specific needs will be addressed.

Open Class
Open to all comers, best suited to people with minimal injuries/ conditions.

Experienced
For people with at least 6 months of recent yoga experience, includes inversions and stronger back- bending poses.

Week- Long Intensives
Week-long intensives are offered every few months and involve 5 x 2 hour sessions over a week or weekend. Directed towards those who have some experience as the intensive requires endurance on both a physical and mental level. It offers the student the opportunity to work on a deeper level, getting into aspects of yoga that only the intensive mode can offer.

Workshops by visiting Senior Teachers

Benefit from working in a supportive workshop environment with teachers who have been learning and practicing yoga for decades.

Usually conveniently timed over a weekend they offer the opportunity to delve deeper into your practice and discover yourself more fully.
